Biographical note | William Davis Brackett Jr. (1840-1932) was a member of Company E of 45th Massachusetts Volunteer Militia and was stationed eastern North Carolina, at both Camp Amory on the Trent River and Camp Massachusetts near the town of Newbern (New Bern). After the war, Brackett married Sarah Ann Lee, had two children, opened a dry goods store, became a manufacturer of shoes, and founded W.D. Brackett & Co. of Boston. |
